Local tools
Currently, there are three engineering tools, developed in Java, available for download.
Evaluation Licenses (through September 30, 2008)
Since the debut of above tools in November 2007 a total of over 2400 copies have been downloaded. We are extremely encouraged by the warm acceptance knowing that no specific promotion effort was made, and the hits were generated solely by spontaneous users' internet search and probably words of mouth. Many inquiries are received asking us for how a REGULAR license can be purchased. Some prudent users have provided us with valuable feedback and suggestions on how the tools can be improved. At the moment, we are conducting market surveys to determine the prices of the EE Circle tools. In principle, we will use the combined shareware-bookware software pricing model by charging $200-500 for each REGULAR copy. Interested users will be given plenty of time for learning and evaluation before a buying decision is made. Although EE Circle is committed to technical excellence and continuous improvement of all our tools, no warranty or technical support is promised due to limited manpower. In response to many users' requests, a new evaluation license, applicable to any of the above tools, is hereby made available through September 30, 2008.
License Upgrade Procedure
- Download and save the new license file
- Navigate to the tool configuration directory of the tool you need to make license upgrade,
e.g.,
- "C:\Program Files\EECircle\HSView1.0\conf\", or
- "C:\Program Files\SPEX1.0\conf\", or
- "C:\Program Files\Trace Analyzer 1.0\conf\"
- Rename the original licence file "license.lic" into a different file, say "license_old.lic"
- Extract the new license file, packed in the zip file, into the $TOOL_NAME\conf directory, rename it into "license.lic"
The new license will take effect upon the next lauch of the program.
